The Junior League of Northern Westchester hosts several fundraising events throughout the course of our fiscal year. The League invites the community-at-large, membership, and their friends and families to participate in all of these events. Around the World in 80 Wines April 23, 2010
The fourth annual Around the World in 80 Wines spring fundraiser took place on April 23 at Crabtree’s Kittle House Restaurant and brought in $75,000. The wine tasting, dinner and auction was sponsored in part by Mt. Kisco Wines and Spirits and honored Joel Seligman, President and CEO of Northern Westchester Hospital. News 12 Westchester television Anchor, Matt Sampson, served as the Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer. The VIP Champagne Tasting, Raffles (of a SONY Bravia LCD TV and an Apple i-PAD) and the newly established “JLNW Giving Trees” (allowing restricted donations to the Backpack Buddies, Linus Blankets, and the JLNW Annual Campaign programs) were wildly popular. We thank all of our business donors to the silent and live auctions as well as the many individuals who contributed to the event’s success.
